Hawaiian Flatbread
I LOVE ham and pineapple pizza. Problem is the hubs wants that meat lovers and doesn't agree that pineapple belongs on a pizza.
Thats why I love flatbreads because I can make my pizza and he can make his. Individual pizzas are the perfect way to make everyone happy.
You can use your favorite flatbread. I prefer Joseph's Bakery lavash or Flatout Whole Wheat or Spicy Italian. Just try to keep it at 100 calories. They freeze great too so I pretty much always have them on hand.
There's limited cheese on this version to keep it lighter. If you're not concerned with calories then pile on the cheese.
Any chance I get to make one of these I do because they're that good!
Ingredients:
1 flatbread
non-stick spray
1/4 cup sauce
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
2 slice Canadan bacon, cut into small bite size pieces
1/4 cup pineapple chunks (I cut each chunk in half to reduce size)
red pepper flake
Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Spray both sides of flatbread with non stick spray and bake for 8-10 minutes until just turning brown and crsipy.
Layer sauce, dash of red pepper flake, cheese, ham, pineapple.
Bake for additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
According to MyFitnessPal the entire pizza is 275 calories.
