Cooking with

I love to cook because I like to eat. It's just my husband and I and frozen or boxed dinners are not in our vocabulary. I'll eat pretty much anything but he's a picky eater I have to try to cater to or else he'll starve. I just can't have that on my conscious.
We don't have a lot of resturant options nearby so I usually cook all through the week. I have a full time job that requires a lot of travel so I appreciate dinners that can be prepared ahead of time and require little effort the night of.
I like trying new recipes, coming up with 'concoctions' that I think suit our tastes, and especially using my handy dandy kitchen appliances whenever I can. I'm not ashamed to admit I love semi-homemade recipes as well as the more complex.
We love bold flavors so I enjoy dishes that I can 'taste my way through' to add a little dash of this and that until it's just right. I must warn you that my recipes are more of guides to help me remember what's in the dish and I never actually follow them by the book. I recommend you taste your way through the recipes as well to adapt them to the tastes of your family.
